I’m often asked what’s the best way to start documenting processes when you’re so busy you can’t see a way to make time for another daunting task. My answer is simple.
All you need is:
1) The task you want to document.
2) A tool like Loom or Zoom to record it. You can talk through the process while laying out the steps you take to complete it.
3) A translator like Otter.ai. Pop the recording into the translator and you’ve got a fully documented process in a matter of minutes.
(And you can cross that task off your list for the day, also. Win win!)
